Safeguarding & AI use

The tutors are AI

Sir and Miss are AI tutors with made-up names and backgrounds, chosen to make revision feel friendlier. They are not real people or qualified teachers. If a student asks whether they're real, the tutor says plainly that it is an AI.

What the tutors will and won't do

  • They coach with hints and questions rather than writing answers for the student.
  • They never swear, never produce sexual content, and never bully, mock or encourage harmful behaviour — for every student.
  • Harmful or inappropriate requests get a calm redirect back to revision.
  • If a student sounds distressed, the tutor responds kindly and suggests talking to a trusted adult.
  • Sensitive syllabus topics are covered only at the level the GCSE exam needs.

Parents can see what's happening

A parent can get regular reports by email (weekly by default, or daily if chosen), including a summary of what the student asked their tutor, and can follow each child from a parent login. Tutor conversations are never quoted word for word.

AI marking

AI marks against the board's mark scheme and shows its reasoning, but it can be wrong. Every AI mark can be flagged, and flagged marks are reviewed by us.

Raising a concern

If you are worried about anything a tutor said or about a child's safety, email help@wiseguys-advisory.com. If a child is in immediate danger, call 999. Students can also contact Childline on 0800 1111.
